Automatically Truncating SQL Server Logs

Symptom:
After extended use of Ultimate Survey Enterprise survey software via your web browser, performance may gradually deteriorate.

Cause:
Ultimate Survey Enterprise survey software frequently accesses the database, which can cause the database log file to increase in size. Large log files can have a negative impact on application performance.

Resolution:
Configure SQL Server Enterprise Manager to automatically truncate the database log.
1. Open SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
2. Select the database that contains the Ultimate Survey Enterprise survey software tables.
3. Right-click on the database name and select "Properties."
4. Click on the tab labelled "Transaction Log."
5. Select the "Restrict File Growth" option in the "Maximum File Size" section.
6. Set the maximum size of the log file to the desired size.
