How to configure your Ultimate Survey Enterprise 3.0.x installation to use a database at a diff

The following instructions will guide you through the process of configuring your Ultimate Survey Enterprise .NET survey software to use a different database.

These instructions are for people who have already installed version 3.0 and above.

Important Note: These instructions assume that you are not moving the web server.

1. Start with the web.config file from your Ultimate Survey zip file. If you need a new copy of Ultimate Survey to get an untouched web.config, please visit
http://www.prezzatech.com/support/members. Overwrite your web.config on the web server with the fresh copy.

2. Follow the instructions in InstallInstructions.htm. When you get to part of the online setup that asks you to specify the database location, fill out the information and click Submit. If you have moved your existing database to a new location you will see a screen that indicates that the database is already set up at that location, and you can continue through the process without overwriting the database.

3. Continue through the rest of the process as instructed.

4. You are now ready to run Ultimate Survey with the new database location.
