Linking directly to a report in Checkbox Web Enterprise survey software

Linking directly to a password protected report in Checkbox Web Enterprise is not a documented feature, but can easily be implemented by taking the following steps:

1. Log into Checkbox Web
2. Click Reports
3. Click the Reports icon for the survey you want to link to a report for.
4. If you have not already done so, create a report and set its security.
5. Find in the Report Editor where it says "This report can be accessed directly with this URL"
6. Copy the link indicated in step 5 to the clipboard.
7. Log out of the system
8. Append "?redirectURL=" plus the URL in the clipboard to the URL in your browser. This will be the URL to send people to have them log on and immediately see your report.

The resulting URL would look something like the following:


http://www.yoursite.com/Checkbox/login.aspx?redirectURL=http://www.yoursite.com/Checkbox/RunAnalysis.aspx?a=8ff78ce6-ee2d-4dce-8629-d98b9e80199e
