Checkbox Survey: Reports, Analysis, and Export


Checkbox Survey’s reporting functionality features a 100% web based interface for creating reports and exporting data. Our high capacity analysis engine can analyze data from surveys of any size and has the ability to produce beautiful, fully branded reports. Reports are created by first selecting the survey to be analyzed and then choosing one of the following options to generate the report: Checkbox Survey’s Report Wizard, an existing report template, or a new, user-designed report. Once the report has been designed, users can analyze one or more survey items and present the results in a variety of formats for data presentation. Presentation options include pie charts, line and bar graphs, table summaries, and cross tabulations. Reports can be saved and run as often as necessary, and are kept secure using Checkbox’s built in User Management functionality.

Checkbox Survey also has a built in data export feature, which allows users to export results into other commonly used analysis programs, including Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Crystal Reports, or any other package that supports CSV file formats.

Another feature gained through the addition of the Checkbox Survey Developer Kit, is API/Web Services access to a variety of reporting functions, including response details reports, response summary reports, and the ability to export CSV data.

View Live Summary Statistics

At any point in time, users can run reports that tally the total number of collected or in-progress responses.

View and Edit Response Data

View each individual survey response, including the time and date that the response was submitted and the elapsed time for the response to be completed.  Optionally, you can edit the response for the purposes of correcting or modifying the results set.

Create New Reports with the Report Wizard

Checkbox’s built in Report Wizard quickly generates reports using the selected graph/summary types and styles for each item in the selected survey.

Create Customized Reports

Using either a new report or a template, users can create customized reports by selecting the item(s) to analyze, setting filters, and selecting an output format (chart/table/detail view).

Create Professional Charts and Graphs

Checkbox includes a variety of charting formats, including pie charts, line graphs, bar graphs, column graphs, and donut charts. Each chart type has a variety of customizable options, including the ability to enable 3D, change colors and fonts, and configure the data display (percentages, summary, averages).

Perform Calculations

Easily calculate and display averages, cross tabulations, and totals.

Report Data Filters

Create filters based on an answer to one or more questions, a user attribute, or date and time.

Export Data

Export data into other analysis programs, including Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Crystal Reports, or any other package that supports CSV file formats. Data may also be imported into other database systems.

Set Security Options

User has the ability to determine who has access to each report. Options include public access, password protection, user list, or group based permissions.

Embed Report Items in a Survey

User can embed any report or chart item in a survey. This allows respondents to see summary results while they are taking the survey or after they have completed it.
